It Starts With Standards

Every new team member begins their Piper Violet journey with a strict two-week trade test. This isn’t just a skills check — it’s a deep dive into everything from balayage and creative colour to hair-up work and finishing techniques. This ensures we maintain the high creative standards our brand is known for, while identifying any gaps where we can support individual growth.

A Two-Week Induction That Sets the Tone

Our comprehensive induction goes far beyond the basics. It introduces new team members to the Piper Violet way — from understanding our five-star brand journey to delivering true VIP treatment for every single guest who walks through our doors. During this time, new starters take on live model work, receive detailed feedback, and begin building a bespoke education plan for their first six months.

We pride ourselves on offering a diverse and high-level mix of education that meets every team member where they are in their career:

Our USP is our Visionary Consultation and is embedded in every conversation with our clients, this must be upheld from the beginning and built on with confidence and professionalism.

 

  • Colour & Cutting Foundations: Our stylists complete intensive training through L’Oréal’s Colour Keys and Corrective Colour programs, as well as Vidal Sassoon cutting courses.
  • Creative & Specialist Training: Courses with industry leaders like Sophia Hilton ensure our balayage work stays current and innovative.
  • In-Salon Sessions: We regularly host brand-led training from GHD, Maria Nila, and Olaplex to keep styling and aftercare expertise razor-sharp.
  • Extensions & Texture: Our team are trained in Beauty Works Nano Keratin Extensions and take part in curls masterclasses to support our inclusive, textured-hair ethos.
  • Trend-Based Learning: We stay ahead of the curve with in-salon creative sessions that evolve with the season’s trends.

 

Education for the Whole Team — Not Just Stylists

We believe in investing in every role within the business. Our behind-the-scenes heroes — from our reception and PA teams to management — receive tailored education too, from marketing support to management diplomas, to help them grow with the business.

Mentorship, Benefits & Long-Term Growth

Every stylist is closely mentored throughout their first year. After 12 months, they’re offered a creative course of their choice as part of our benefits package — a reward for hard work and a way to keep the fire for learning alive. This sits alongside a training agreement to ensure the growth is secure and mutually beneficial.
